Features
Cyclone Microsystems' 2602 PCI Express Expansion System allows system developers to build robust stand-alone embedded system based on the PICMG 1.3 System Host Board Standard. In this manner, a Pentium board resides with the system as the system host board and the additional slots are used for I/O and/or co-processor resources. The 2602 configuration uses the PCIe-412 PCI Express Expansion Backplane with fourteen PCI Express Slots and two PCI-X slots. This enables the coupling of cost-effective enterprise host PCs with high bandwidth, peer-to-peer capable I/O subsystems.
Of the sixteen expansion slots on the PCIe-412, six slots are configured as x8 (20 Gb/s) PCIe slots, and eight as x4 (10 Gb/s) PCIe Slots and two as PCI-X slots. The PCI Express Expansion Backplane supports a non-blocking switch fabric which features Quality of Service prioritization and end-to-end data integrity.
The PCIe-412 Expansion Backplane is mounted in the 600-2060 Expansion Chassis, a 19-inch rack mounted chassis that is specifically designed to support the maximum power loads and cooling requirements of boards populated in all sixteen slots.
