Audio Workstation Expansion
Cyclone's new seven-slot PCI Express Expansion System enabled Sublime Audio to overcome the PCI Express Expansion limitations of the MAC Pro with two dual-core Intel processors in an audio workstation application. The limitation of three host slots on the MAC Pro prevented Sublime Audio from effectively building a robust system which required a total of seven PCI Express slots for a combination of both I/O and audio processing boards.

Sublime Audio's 2.66 MHz dual-core Xeon runs MAC OS 10.4.9. and is populated with two Digidesign Pro Tools HD2 PCIe boards running Digidesign Pro Tools 7.3.1 software and the Cyclone Microsystems' PCIe-408 PCIe Host Bus to Expansion Cable Adapter. The 600-2704 PCI Express Expansion Chassis houses four Universal Audio UAD-1e DSP cards.
